I've been testing DubScript for a few months now on a Samsung Chromebook Pro running Android 7.1.1. And as far as I've used it, it works very well--- better in many ways than on a phone or tablet because you have the keyboard (and keyboard shortcuts), a large touch screen, a resizable window, and ChromeOS integration (meaning you can share files with the regular OS). Every feature should work including the 800+ downloadable fonts added in the latest version, which are pretty fun to play with.
Give it a try and let me know if you find any issues. But for me so far, it's been very solid.
Hi Ron, I downloaded Dubscript from the Play store. I'm using it on my ASUS Chromebook. However I can't seem to create a new screenplay. I can enter a new screenplay with a .fountain file extension, but the "Save" button is dimmed and I cannot save the file. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Heya- thanks for writing. The save button is greyed out when you don't have access to write in that directory. If you use the side drawer from the save screen (swipe from the left), you should be able to choose from different "targets ” such as the Downloads directory or SD card or Google Drive (if you have the app installed). Does changing the save location or directory help?
Works great on a Chromebook Pro!
